Never leave Manila Ocean Park without visiting the famous Oceanarium. It houses different kinds of fish that are only found in the Philippines and most part of South East Asian Region. |
We went to Manila Ocean Park few weeks ago to enjoy their three new attractions this summer plus the never miss to watch Musical Fountain and Light Show. After watching this 4 shows, we felt something is missing, we haven’t seen the Oceanarium and the one we have seen in animated movies like the Happy Feet, the real Penguins. Only here you will see different types of Puffers (like the one seen in the movie Nemo, remember his aquarium friend).
I was amaze again at the different kinds of sea creatures found here.
The long horn cowfish is a mystery with a horn that protrudes from its head making it resemble someone no one wants to mention.
The Manila puffer/striped dogface puffer is has two front teeth making it unique at least for me.
Nemo, the famous clownfish.
The Common Lion fish whose pectoral fins are a sight to behold but are venomous.
These are just among the few that holds my interest, you may find some others that will attract your attention.
Now we are at the 25-meter long walkway oceanarium tunnel which is said to be larger than the Sentosa Underwater World oceanarium in Singapore in terms of floor space and also similar to what we have seen in Hong Kong Oceanpark which is only has 180-degrees standard curved tunnel. The Manila Ocean Park has 220-degree curved acrylic walls / tunnel.
The Oceanarium is truly entertaining for kids and kids alike and surely an all year destination. Can’t wait to see the real penguins look like…
