Bob would have mean thumbs up and it is, at least for me. Bob’s has been marked as one of Bacolod's finest restaurant and every time you will search in the net or ask someone from Bacolod, Bob’s name will surely be one in the recommended lists.
Bob’s restaurant started in 1965 by Dr Homero Sicangco, a pediatrician, with his wife Conchita. The first store opened on a street now known as B.S. Aquino North Drive, Dr Sicangco’s excellent food plus the policy of “a happy employee provides good service” have gone a long way since then. Café Bob’s is managed by her eldest daughter, Cynthia.
We are so hungry from the time we started covering the Masskara Street Dance Parade at Araneta Street from 2pm until we reach the Bacolod Public Plaza together with other media personnel, so we decided to have a break. Since the rain is pouring hard we decided to go to Bob’s branch in SM Bacolod that was beside Ted’s La Paz Batchoy because it is just a walking distance from the public plaza. The sight of the breads, pastry, especially the cakes at the display counter looks tempting even if I have not tasted it yet.
We ordered for Sizzling Sisig worth Php128.00. Not so crunchy but was counterbalance by the mixture of calamansi extract, bay leaves, onions and ground pepper. Still, it has very good taste. Sisig is one of my favorite Filipino dish.
Next in line is the Vegetable with Tofu(Rice Bowl) at Php85.00. Observe the servings, it is good for two
. My wife shared it with me, I 'am not fond of vegetables but today I have actually eaten a celery?
I can say that it is the sauce that makes this stir fry vegetables with tofu really special. 
I ordered for a slice of Baked Blueberry for only Php68.00. Just look at the syrup, excellent for my taste.
An array of cakes at the display counter. Everything looks so yummy. Of all the foods that I like, desserts specially cakes is one of my greatest weaknesses. I could try and have a taste one by one or could eat all those small ones below but the only thing that prevented me from doing is lack of budget

I should be going to Bob's Makati Dela Rosa Branch to have a taste of their bestseller such as Sate Babe, Baby Back Ribs and Cheeseburger. See you again soon for my next food trip at Bob’s.
